Abled?... Disabled? .. Different-Abled..
Pamoja Dance Group is a Kenyan contemporary dance company of dancers with and without physical disability coming together to share creative work in an open and understanding environment.
Through dance, the Group aims to challenge its audiences to reflect upon how they view disability and integration, and to see that they can make changes to realize the Group’s dream of a society in which all people can realize their full potential in a safe and healthy environment.
Pamoja also acts as enrouragement for other people living with disabilities and disadvantages that it is possible to make your so called disadvantage your greatest advantage.
Whereas most dance pieces tells the story of the lives and challenges of people living with physical disability and aims at raising awareness, the productions also addresses other social topics such as refugees, woman empowerment, wildlife protection.
