“I was born in 1978. Two years later as a result of polio, I lost the use of my legs. I attended school until class 5 but then as there was no money for school fees, I lived and worked in the streets. In 2000 I got married and now have 2 children. For a while I sold sweets in the street in order to support my family but now I am unemployed. I joined Pamoja Dance Group in 2006 after the invitation of a friend. My vision is to empower more people, especially those living with disability to participate in dance and the arts in general”.
